Middle-High School Live Performance Class – Students form their own band and learn to work together as a cohesive team, while learning song writing and arrangement, performance, and instrument of choice. Students learn guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and voice.
Class material is chosen with the skill and developmental levels of the students foremost in mind. The intended outcome of the classes is to be able to play together, and to perform together they must hold themselves and each other accountable to the quality of their practice and play.
Beyond the Grade’s curriculum, teaching staff, and program management focus on providing high-quality instruction and generating enthusiasm and engagement in students, towards the challenging and rewarding goal of performing together on stage during special Showcases, featuring student bands alongside local and national artists.
